Salford Women Writers with Cathy Bryant
Salford Women Writers have been meeting at the Salford Women's Centre for 17 years - they meet weekly to laugh, talk, cry, share experiences........
and write!! They published their own anthology, Open the Door, last year and they invite in tutors & poets to work with them and inspire them.
Recently a member of the group, Linda Walker, lost her battle with cancer and passed away - this sad event inspired the group to produce a new anthology in memory of Linda. It's called Pink Ribbon Poems and all proceeds from sales will go to Breast Cancer Care.
Salford Women Writers welcome CATHY BRYANT as their guest.
Cathy is well-known on the Manchester performance poetry circuit - she is witty, clever, occasionally outrageous and always compassionate - think Carol Ann Duffy meets Spike Milligan! Her own poetry is published by Puppywolf and she is currently co-editing Volume 2 of The Best of Manchester Poets.
