Manchester Teaching Awards & Union Awards

This week the Manchester Teaching Awards have been launched in partnership between the Students’ Union and the University. Now in their second year, these awards give students the opportunity to celebrate inspirational teaching and outstanding support from University staff.

Staff can be nominated in the following categories:

-          Best Lecturer

-          Most Innovative Lecturer

-          Most Accessible Lecturer

-          Best “Postgraduate that Teaches”

-          Best Personal/Academic advisor

-          Best Support Staff Member/Team

So there are loads of opportunities for staff in your department to gain recognition.

In addition, this week the Union Awards have also been launched. There are a number of categories for students to be recognised in, including volunteering, fundraising and campaigning. There is also a category for ‘Rep of the Year’ which recognises the work of an outstanding rep from each Faculty.
